A birdcage in which you can swing freely, lamps that subdivide like trees, the fantastic world of Ontwerpduo emerges from the collaboration and chemistry between Tineke Beunders and Nathan Wierink.
Nothing is impossible. Tineke likes to imagine things just a little bit differently to the way they are by fantasising new functions for them, largely ignoring any practical or technical restrictions. Often these things are in a form that seems impossible – until Nathan becomes involved. He sets to work in a workshop that has come to resemble a laboratory. When he emerges again, Tineke’s ideas turn out to be feasible after all. And so everything can begin again, happily ever after.
Devisers and Doers. Ontwerpduo is an established name in Dutch design. What started as a duo is now a design studio with a close-knit team of devisers and doers.
Wooden Story – Land of Toys.
They say that the toys came to them from the forest, they smell of wood and you can still hear in them the sound of wind.
Grandpa Borowy was right saying that “creating for children brings the happiness to adults”. We know this feeling very well. They created Wooden Story from love to nature, for happiness of children.
To make this joy and happiness complete, the toys are made of wood that comes from FSC® (FSC® C120107) certified suppliers. They are made of the best, carefully selected wood and they are not “poisoned” with toxic paints or varnish. Beeswax and botanical oils give them a soft polished finish.
Butterflies and Taxidermie.
Since the 19th century, taxidermy has been a scientific art: It requires practitioners not only to take accurate measurements and photos and make traces of the animals they’d like to mount, but to study the anatomy of those animals – all for the purpose of creating a specimen that is true to life. We are very happy to offer you the work of Norman Martens, who offers local, honest and true craftsmanship. Very unique home-decorations. Noos31 displays a wide variety of butterflies and insects but don’t hesitate to ask us to for your own special request.
The Darling Amsterdam.
It all started for Nadine van der Zee in 2009, with one wild night at a café. Nadine was looking for a place to rent so she could start her own shop. That night, she spoke to café visitors and something miraculous happened. She heard about the availability of an old monumental building in the middle of the Nine Streets of Amsterdam. It sounded like the perfect place to realize her dream and The Darling was born. The collection is a mix of unique affordable clothes, jewellery, life style products, furniture and accessories; some vintage, some handmade, all selected or designed with love. And there we connect so well. The Darling brings us new items every single month. How good is that! The mission is to spread a little kindness so people feel at ease and are more willing to look at the world with an open mind.

More than a flash of genius.
Certain things become so strongly associated with an era that they become timeless. This is certainly true of nils strinning’s shelf system, string®, which was designed in 1949. It may seem strange that something as simple and humble as this little dainty light shelf with its thin side panels has become one of the twentieth century’s foremost design icons.
We are proud to be official dealer of this classic brand.
Noos31 has chosen for a few -small business- bijoux brands that complete the collection.
